Integrated Support Systems is embracing the future with our new Web Interface that’s modern, secure, and more accessible. This transition from a Java based client is driven by ISS’ continued commitment to improving user experience and strengthening security. While the Java interface was dependable, it required Java/JDK installations, updates, and ongoing maintenance that created complexity and potential for vulnerabilities. With our new SLICwave LC Web Interface, everything runs directly within your browser — no downloads, no extra steps, just simplified access to your SLICwave LC data.
What You'll Notice
- Streamlined Access: Easily login, manage/analyze data, and make program deliverables from a supported browser.
- Stronger Security: Your data is protected with HTTPS and modern authentication protocols.
- Easier Software Update Process: SLICwave LC software updates are required at the server level only. No Java software updates needed for client machines.
- Better Usability: A clean, responsive design with customizable settings to make navigation easier.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to install anything new to try the Web Interface? No. The new Web Interface is integrated with the latest version of SLICwave LC and runs directly in your browser (no downloads or Java installation required).
- Will support for the Java interface be retired? The retirement date for the legacy Java interface has not yet been finalized. However, we will give our customers ample notice to ensure a smooth adaptation. Furthermore, ISS will continue supporting customers with both interfaces through the transition with training resources and migration assistance available.
- Can you still use the old Java interface? Yes, for now. We'll continue supporting it during the transition but it will be phased out in the coming years.
- Is the new interface secure? Absolutely! It uses HTTPS encryption and modern authentication protocols to keep your data safe.
- Do I need internet access or connection to use the web interface? SLICwave LC and the Web Interface may be configured to operate with or without an internet connection. Think "software in a browser".
- Will training or support be available? Yes. The latest versions of SLICwave LC are embedded with resources, tutorials, and support to help you get comfortable with the new Web Interface. Additionally, existing customers may contact their sales representative or the sales team directly at sales@isscorp.com to learn more about enrollment into ISS' "SLICwave LC Java to Web Client Orientation" training course (free of charge).
